In my junior year, I discovered web development and was thrilled by the ability to turn my ideas into reality. This sparked my ambition to become a developer. As I dove deeper into web development, I unexpectedly joined an seed-level startup as a co-founder, where I worked for a year and a half. During this time, I realized I was more than just a developer, but a problem solver—working across planning, design, development, and marketing to grow the product. It was an eye-opening experience that taught me how to approach and solve real-world problems. One of my proudest achievements at the startup was creating a community app for nurses, which attracted over 15,000 users. I was happy to solve their problems and make a meaningful impact.
Another notable project is an AI-powered photo booth app that enables users to create custom frames and take photos with someone virtually using AI background removal. The app has been downloaded over 1.5K times and continues to improve based on user feedback.
Currently, I am a research assistant at the University of New Mexico, contributing to a machine learning project analyzing crowdfunding campaigns to identify key factors driving their success.
I enjoy participating in competitions where I can deeply immerse myself in projects with my team within a set timeframe. One such opportunity was participating in the NASA Space Apps Challenge, where my team and I created educational materials to highlight the impact of wildfires on Earth’s systems, winning 1st place at the Albuquerque site. This experience strengthened my ability to collaborate effectively, think creatively, and leverage technology to address real-world challenges.
Outside of work, I enjoy meeting new people, learning about different cultures by traveling and living in various countries. I thrive on setting goals and pushing myself to achieve them, finding joy in personal growth and self-improvement.
As a software engineer, I like learning new skills and technologies, and my goal is to use my skills to solve meaningful problems and make a positive impact on the world.
